Mossel Bay is a coastal town in the Western Cape Province. It is located approximately 400 kilometres from Cape Town.
The town is famous for its sandy beaches, such as Dana Bay, Little Brak River and Great Brak River, which are ideal for swimming, surfing and water sports.

 

It is also a place of pilgrimage for scuba diving enthusiasts, as it is home to a protected marine reserve, where divers can see a variety of fish, corals and marine life.

Mossel Bay is also rich in history and culture. The town is home to the Bartholomeu Dias Museum, which celebrates the Portuguese explorer who was the first European to reach the southern tip of Africa in 1488. It is also an interesting place for wine lovers, as it is close to several renowned vineyards.
