Every second Wednesday of the month, Drostdy Street is closed to traffic and hosts a “wine tasting” evening from November to March from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Buy your tickets giving access to this event. On site, you will be given a glass and a bag of 10 tokens. All you have to do is go to one of the many wine stands present and taste their wines.
Live music, very friendly and festive atmosphere. The opportunity to share a drink with a majority of locals accustomed to this unmissable event in Stellenbosch.
Each evening, the organizers choose to present a selection of different cellars.

The name Kanonkop is derived from a knoll (kop) on Simonsberg Mountain above the winery from where, during the 17th and 18th centuries, a cannon (kanon) was fired to announce the arrival of sailing ships entering Table Bay.
